The Washington State Ferry System is the main mode of transportation to Orcas Island. It sails from Anacortes, WA several times each day. You can call WSF at Seattle (206) 464-6400 or statewide 1-800-84-FERRY, or you can access them on the web, Anacortes to Orcas Ferry. We recommend getting in line for your expected departure time at least one hour prior to departure. The Ferry terminal at Anacortes is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive from SEATAC airport in Seattle.

The ferry journey to Orcas Island is a great opportunity to relax and get acclimated to the scenery and wildlife of the San Juan Islands. The ride itself is usually about an hour, depending on the number of stops. Evergreen Cottage at Rosario is about a 20 minute drive from the Ferry landing.
